EVERY DAY
Everywhere I go every single day
People all around me trying to make their way
To where they’re going and some don’t even know
Each and every moment that you’re blessed to get
Muster up your courage cause it’s not over yet
Where you’re going could be just a step away
Every passing hour, every breath we take
Our blooms wither like flowers but we’re still in the game - so
Every morning that you wake
Every day’s a choice to make
Everybody’s got to play the cards that they’ve been given
Every day is what you make it
Every chance you that you get take it
Everybody’s got to play the game that we call living
Every life’s a journey for every start an end
So many in a hurry who still need to begin
No direction, they just throw themselves away
Every soul is restless, digging through the void
Every heart’s born wild and easily destroyed
How you get there - it’s not for me to say
Every evening sunset every rising dawn
Marks another boundary and none of us has long - so
Every morning that you wake
Every day’s a choice to make
Everybody’s got to play the cards that they’ve been given
Every day is what you make it

Everybody’s got to play the game that we call living
What can you hang all your hopes on
When you’re hanging by a thread
All you can do is hope to hang on
That isn’t really living
Are you strong enough to hold out
When you’re strung along and strung out
Strung together by self doubt
Everything’s so unforgiving
