THE GIRL NEXT DOOR
Every day, eight-fifteen I watch her walking out of her front door
Off she goes, rag top down just like the day before
But she’s got a boyfriend who’d kick my - mmm -
I don’t lnow what she sees in him
A muscle-bound Romeo
He’s a loser but man I’d sure like to be him
Here I am all alone I can’t stand to be without her
Keeps me up late at night just pacing the floor
On my mind all day long all I do is think about her
Breaks my heart - I’m in love – she’s the girl next door
Six o’clock, Dominoes brings a pizza to the girl next door
Just my luck it’s Romeo who steps out on the porch
I wonder if it’s cheese or supreme
If they’re watching TV or a movie
Cuddled up close on the couch
I can see it all now and I wish it was me
Here I am all alone I can’t stand to be without her
Keeps me up late at night just pacing the floor
On my mind all day long all I do is think about her
Breaks my heart - I’m in love – she’s the girl next door
From my window it seems so clear I was meant to be with her
She caught me looking her way and she smiled and she waved
But what do I say, oh, where is my nerve?
Here I am all alone I can’t stand to be without her
Keeps me up late at night just pacing the floor
On my mind all day long all I do is think about her
Breaks my heart - I’m in love – she’s the girl next door
