SOMEDAY
I always knew someday I’d be without you
But I never dreamed that day would come so soon
Years slipped by though I knew out days were fleeting
Time’s no wheel, some things never come back around
Like a relentless river flowing to the sea
And now I stand here looking back longing for bonds we were tied to
That can’t retract the fact you’re gone and I have to say goodbye to you
Pictures on the wall ghosts of this haunted house
Stare from photographs living a moment’s past
Asking why’s no use it’s always unanswered
There are things we’ll never be able to understand
But feeling the weight of your absence nearly crushes me
And now I stand here looking back longing for bonds we were tied to
That can’t retract the fact you’re gone and I have to say goodbye to you
All that I can do is hope for tomorrow
While waiting for the unknown yet to come
And so I stand here looking back longing for bonds we were tied to
That can’t retract the fact you’re gone and I have to say goodbye to you
